We all Scream for Ice Cream!

It started as a tradition in my mom's family, but fortunately for me, mom and dad decided we should carry it on (thanks to Grandma and Grandpa encouraging it with the new ice-cream maker). So, every year on the 4th of July (or as was the case this year, the day after when things are calmer and we are home) we are going to make our very own home-made ice cream. This year we made vanilla ice cream with fresh Oregon strawberries mixed in. It was DELICIOUS - light and refreshing...just the way great ice cream should be. Next year I hope to try chocolate. I love family traditions!
