Family Day
My dad's family had a tradition growing up of Family Fun Day. Aunt Karen called them "FFF" (Bleep Family Fun :) Days, but Dad said we should continue the tradition. This past Saturday we all got up and went to the club where mom and dad worked up a sweat. Dad played basketball and mom did kickboxing while I ran around Kids Club and got lots of compliments on my cute polka-dot outfit. After that I took a quick nap and then we were off to Sand in the City where I got to see huge sand creations in Pioneer Plaza downtown. Mom said it was good to support the cause -- the event raised money for a children's foundation and I even got to buy 2 puppets to help them raise more money! It was sooooo hot, so mom and dad took me directly to the fountains at Jamison Square where I proceeded to frolick in the water. Thank goodness I wore my water sandals that day. Although it was difficult to leave the cool water, I finally consented when dad said we could go to Saint Cupcake. It was my first time there and I loved it. We ordered several cupcake "bites" so that we could try many flavors. I think I liked them all. On the way home I told mom and dad that Family Fun Day was my favorite day of the year. They said we could do it more often and promised to keep the tradition going. Check out some of my pictures from the day by clicking on the album below.
