Baby Andrew Horn - my new buddy!
Today I went to visit my newest friend -- Andrew Horn -- born last night at 11:33 pm. He has light strawberry blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. He weighed almost as much as I did (8 lbs. 3 oz. -- just one ounce shy of my hefty delivery weight) and is eating like a champ. I told him to enjoy it while he can cause pretty soon his mom and dad will try to stuff things in his mouth like mashed chicken and creamed corn from a jar. On the bright side, I felt like such a big girl while mommy and daddy were oohing and ahhing over Andrew. I was standing up all by myself as I balanced on the bed rail. I talked to my new friend and told him how ecxited I was about all the fun play dates that are ahead of us. I shared my pink pony with his cousin Fiona and gave her a big hug cause she was feeling shy. Most of all, I realized that I'm not the little baby anymore. I'm the big girl now and I think I like it. I was all smiles as I left baby Andrew's room (except when mom took the bag of chocolate chip cookies away from me saying that we had brought them for Andrew). The nurses outside his room said I was such a big girl and I blew them kisses as I rode off in my back pack. If only big girls didn't have to take afternoon naps...sigh!
