Last weekend Mom took the cheerleaders to Bend for camp. While she was gone, Dad and I had a spectacular time together. It started with flipping, stretching and tumbling at gymnastics, followed by a drive to the coast for some R&R at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We hit the local county fair (a huge hit) and I got to see all sorts of animals, tractors and interesting looking people ;). I loved being able to go on the rides this year, especially the CRAZY BUS. (See my video clips below.) And because Mom wasn't around, Dad let me have an elephant ear, pizza AND ice cream!
After spending fun time with cousins Henry and Sam, we headed back home where we had an adventurous bike ride (dad's tire came off while we were ascending a huge hill) and built bird and bug houses. I even had my own work apron and got to use Dad's "big boy tools." Daddy let me wash his car and we had a dance part together before bath time (although those pictures are too riske to put on my blog).
All in all, it was a great weekend. I didn't want it to end, but I did stay up extra late to see mom when she got back home. I reminded her that I didn't really like her leaving me to hang out with other kids for a whole weekend the following morning when I greeted her with a painful bite on the leg. But, after my initial subconscious aggression was released, I've been in great spirits all week (despite asking for my Daddy several times). Someday Mom says I'll be old enough to go to cheer camp, too...if I want to!
